Re: Brucargo 2022: cargo routes & news
I still see Azul flying cargo flights - any hope they may start regular pax service?
Same with SQ - I hope they plan to resume their pax ops that they wanted to do.
Asian/Korean Air maybe once they finalise their merger there could also be a flight

Virgin Atlantic Cargo, operated by Titan, might stop their full cargo flights to BRU as from the end of this month. Not only to BRU but to several cargo destinations.
Let's call it a back to normal, as Virgin Atlantic was never flying cargo before, and the very weak demand of cargo due to the economic crisis

You are right: IATA said the air cargo demand fell for the sixth month in a row in August.

Which doesn’t mean it became « very weak ».
Of course pax operators are less and less doing cargo flights with pax aircraft. What did you expect?
Easy/stupid shortcuts once again…

FYI Virgin Atlantic Cargo is flying with partner Titan a cargo plane B757F. They are not flying pax airplane for cargo

On BRU Titan is using A321P2F. But indeed they have a slower pace than before. These days they often stay on tarmac half a day whereas they went up and down twice a day not so long ago.
Also, this full cargo sevice was limited in time from the day it started.

The old FedEx building and the car hotel will be demolished. At the same place new cargo buildings will be constructed.
Brucargo will be expanded drastically. New possible cargo players are in the pipeline, Asian ones
