Hi all!
I was wondering if any of you have heard, and have more information about the Seagle-project.
The Seagle is an aircraft that is meant to be the replacement of the well-known Canadair firefighting planes.
It is an aircraft that will possibly built in Ostend, Belgium.
It is obvious that the aircraft has a lot of its looks similar to the Canadair, with some obvious, exciting changes.
The Seagle will for example have completely retractable gear, and foils, decreasing the drag in the water.
Also, the watar capacity will be doubled in comparison to the Canadair (12.500l iso 6.13l).
Of course, the project is still in the development phase and money, orders and time are needed to completely develop and build the aircraft.
It would be really cool to see the successor of the Canadair being made in Belgium. The aircraft suitable for delivery should be ready in 2028!
