Re: TUI fly in 2021
My guess: related to school holidays in Belgium last week (ending 6 & 7th of November). There was a rush on the Canary Islands with different extra flights so this might be an explanation why online tools were/are a bit confused.Novastar wrote: ↑08 Nov 2021, 10:16Any idea what is going on with Tuifly ? We are bound to fly with them to Tenerife in about 2 weeks, with flight number TB1765. However this flight number is non-existing on flightmapper and on flightradar24 the flight was scheduled last saturday as well but no actual flight took place as far as I can see.
Re: TUI fly in 2021
Thanks for the replies. Not so sure it is caused by a sudden rush on the canaries as this flight number and according timings were already mentioned on our confirmation end of May.
Was hoping for the dreamliner (it is used on that route but not so frequently) but we'll just have to do with the Max I guess

That’s because you’ll be on a triangler with funchal and our dear Dreamliner can’t land overthereNovastar wrote: ↑09 Nov 2021, 12:44 Thanks for the replies. B787 OO-JDL currently operating to Libreville as a military charter.
Re: TUI fly in 2021
TUI fly Nordic retired its sole B737-800, MSN 37246, as it focuses on the MAX.

TUI Group reports full-year results. TUI is close to reaching break-even in terms of underlying EBIT at negative €96 million in Q4 2021, with cash flow before financing activities positive for the second consecutive quarter at €1.39 billion from July to September 2021.

New flight to Havana but but but...If the PCR test comes back positive, no change, no voucher, you lose the ticket! Confirmation by Messenger info from TUIfly! Surrealist !
Re: TUI fly in 2021
Do you get a voucher, a change, or anything else when you fall sick for something else???
An airline is no charity thing, it's a business that needs to make money.
Ever heard of insurances before? If not, you might need to start considering it now...!
It's not their fault if you fall sick before travelling, is it?
Re: TUI fly in 2021
The period is sensitive it seems to me ... but let's compare. Cancellation fees are 100% 4 days before departure at TUI ... and the Covid Test must come back negative 3 days before departure ... that's fine! Air France allows without reason the cancellation and the postponement of a flight until June 30, 2022 ... there is no picture as the French-speaking people say!Lux_avi wrote: ↑24 Dec 2021, 22:03Do you get a voucher, a change, or anything else when you fall sick for something else???

I guess that's one of the many reasons why people book at the real last minute at the moment.nordikcam wrote: ↑25 Dec 2021, 11:05The period is sensitive it seems to me ... but let's compare. Surely AF is more flexible but I understand TUI's point of view too; your insurance can cover the cancellation costs.
Where will it end, otherwise? It's been 2 years, the virus is still there and it's there for a while IMHO...
Re: TUI fly in 2021
Anybody with a clue as to why OOTMZ and OOTMB operated a flight to Quebec on 23/12?
They seem to both have flown back on the same day, so a winter-leasing for Sunwing seems out of the question for this?
Flight numbers were JAF9720 and JAF9601 respectively.

They both flew from Kyiv to BRU before, and seemed to be positioning to Kyiv before that (no regular flights), so in fact it were flights Kyiv-Quebec flights... Charter?
Re: TUI fly in 2021
Sarah Saucin, the spokeswoman for TUI Belgium, just told me these were two special flights for the Canadian Defence. The crew flew back to Belgium immediately after the mandatory rest period in Quebec.
