SWISS is currently faced with structural changes to its market, and expects to see a lasting 20% decline in customer demand in the medium term. In total, SWISS will have downsized its workforce by some 1,700 full-time equivalents by the end of 2021, while the fleet will also be reduced by 15%.

Quite interesting bit in Swiss network expansion for summer 2022 :
They will operate GVA-BRU on their own metal, competing with SN, and advertising it specifically together with JFK-GVA

Both are sisters of Lufthansa Group, hence it's not competition.

More than that, it’s probably a cost saving measure with Swiss operating the first flight from Geneva and the last one from Brussels to avoid two SN crews night stopping in Gva.

A further cost-saving measure would then be to have SN operate the first flight from Brussels and the last one from Zurich, instead of SWISS!

Let's hope they do that indeed!

All network airlines are now having the same onboard. Flying Austrian, Brussels, Lufthansa or Swiss is now exactly the same from a pax perspective. Nightstop of the aircraft and crew abroad of the base is a necessity to feed the network but it's also a huge cost wich can be lower with a good synergy between sister companies.

Austrian is already doing all morning flights to BRU,FRA,MUC,ZRH and GVA. All other airlines should do the same to reduce cost.

In the case of Brussels, we should fly to FRA 4x/Day and to MUC and ZRH

Depends as well on the sweet spot of time and pax flow and available aircraft. Now it's easier as a large portion of the 321 is not flying.
With an all 320 fleet in the future, sone mid day flights could end up at Dolomiti.
