Wow!
Now there's an example of an impressive picture 8O !!!
Is it only a static model? Or will it be used for testflying too? Anyway, really great to see that they keep up the good work @ airbus!
ciao!

TeddyBair,
this is just an empty plane. No engines, no load, no cabin facilities, no fuel,.....
Don't know what the planned tow will be, but most heavy tow-trucks can easily push a 747-400 at mtow, even with 4 engines on idle

Thanks to the small digital cameras and MMS-telephones we can enjoy some great pictures of the A380. I am sure this would not be possible 5 years ago!

Compare the size of the aircraft with the people standing next to it: they've got the same hight as the wheels!

Wow! That is one hell of a shot. I wish I could go see this bird, but unfortuneately I live too far away.
Hopefully we will be seeing these in the US sometime soon.

What an awesome plane, I was talking with another "Luchtzaker" about how quickly they have assembled it. I know it's just a shell but they must have worked overtime on it! Can't wait to see it fly!

How long did they actually work on it then?
Ps: is it normal that this prototype only has one egngine pylon on each wing??? Or do they mount the other two later on in the proces?
ciao

It's quite an unusual and special view of the first A380 prototype, but I can't say it looks nice, since it isn't finsihed yet
This is what I call a beauty, almost a dolphin:
You're dolphin plane (7E7) will also look ugly when it is still a protoype, where many parts are still missing !!!!
Anyway, thanks for all those people who provide us with all those nice pictures

It looks that way to you coz it's still unfinished and the nose cone is missing. Once it's finished and gets a coat of paint, am sure u'll change your mind.
It will definitely be an aesthetically beautiful plane once it's completed. Once it flies, DiCaprio's titanic phrase "am the king of the world" will sure lose meaning. I believe the first pax to fly that thing will be the new kings of the world!
Cheers,
Walter.

well it won't be a static model i think' the moving parts will work but it will never fly
nr 2 will be the first one flying
i think that bird will be finished in 2 months so we don't have to wait that long to see it airborne i hope

Yep, this protoype will never fly, and will only be used for ground testings.
