ToMontenegro plans to launch LCC operations before 01 April 2021 should it is able to take over commercial agreements, staff and aircraft from the former flag carrier. Otherwise, it will launch in Fall 2021.

Montenegro launched a tender for the delivery of consultancy services to ToMontenegro. The consultant will support obtaining a new AOC, building the airline’s foundations and organizational structure, and more. Bids due 24 February 2021.

Personally, start ops at PRG is good but DBV, I have many doubts.

Air Premia of South Korea is expected to receive an AOC and acquire a B787-9 in February 2021.

Evelop from Spain and Orbest from Portugal to merge under a single brand, dubbed Iberojet. The move will probably coincide with the launch of regular scheduled flights from next season.

Evelop will begin operating as Iberojet from May 2021. The rebranded airline has not yet defined the routes that will operate.

Greater Bay Airlines has applied to Hong Kong’s CAA to become the city’s fifth passenger airline. The planned LCC will launch with B737s around 2022.

Bees Airline plans to acquire two more used B737-800s in spring 2021, following its planned launch in late January 2021 with two initial -800s. The carrier will begin with charter flights, then open regular flights from Ukraine.

Itapemirim, which operates buses and trains in Brazil, has secured ten A320s from lessors ahead of its launch of domestic operations in March 2021. The planned airline expects to reach 50 aircraft in 2022

World2Fly plans to start operations in spring 2021, flying from Madrid and Lisbon to Punta Cana, Cancun and Havana with one A330-300. An A350 and one more aircraft to follow. World2fly has also requested permission from the US authorities to fly into the country, operating scheduled and charter flights.

World2Fly now plans to begin flights on 18 June 2021, pending the issuance of its licence to operate.

FlyPop (UK) aims to launch long-haul operations as soon as July 2021, with initial flights to Amritsar and Ahmedabad, using a temporarily wet-leased aircraft. The startup, which has raised US$16.6 million and is looking to raise $34 million more, may also wait until October 2021 when it expects to obtain its own AOC. Air Lease Corp. announced a long-term lease placement for one used A320-200 with HiSky Moldova. Scheduled to deliver in April 2021, this is ALC’s third A320 family aircraft placement with the Moldovan startup airline.

Canarian Airways will have to wait some time before securing US$828,000 in public funds, as the regional government is delaying its entry into the capital stock of the startup airline.

Flyr will take delivery of its first B737, registration LN-FGA, in early May 2021. Flyr has signed LOIs for its first two B737-800s, and is in final talks for more aircraft. The first aircraft will be delivered in May, while the next ones will arrive in early June. The fleet will expand throughout the autumn.
