Lufthansa is burning cash at a rate of €500 million a month and is far from breaking even.

Lufthansa Cargo has published the winter 2020/21 schedule for its cargo aircraft. The carrier will continue to serve numerous destinations worldwide in the coming half-year from its home hub in Frankfurt am Main.

Lufthansa has sold five B747-400s to GE Aviation Materials for spare parts. The planes will be dismantled in Texas.

Lufthansa Group continues to work on its new “Ocean” airline platform, which will operate under its own AOC by end of 2021. The fleet will consist of around eight aircraft.

Lufthansa Group has announced that Stefan Kreuzpaintner will assume responsibility for the worldwide sales activities of Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines from 01 January and will join the executive board as CCO.

Portugal’s government has informally informed the European Commission that it is available to accept the entry of Lufthansa into the capital of TAP Air Portugal, as part of the latter’s restructuring plan.
