Actually, it's an advantage that Belgium will participate in the pre-selections next year.

You can hear your song for the first time like in a real Eurovision Song Contest, and you know how the public reacts. It enables you to improve some small things before the 'real' contest.

Don't forget that a lot of the 'toppers' on Saturday (in terms of points) came out of the pre-selection!
