FR24 announces FR2929 delayed till 19:30LT
Wx at EBBR not so nice but hardly improving in the coming hours, so I hope the delay is not due to aircraft.
Fingers crossed for you.

Re: Storm Ciara 09/02/2020
With a good and up-to-date virusscanner, I should think
Meanwhile I am surprised to see the winds calmer than they were, around 18:00 UTC, on a long final for EBBR 25R. Or would it only be a short lull? The climax had been forecast for late evening and night..?

Due to the weather conditions of storm "Sabine" (the German name of Ciara), airlines have already cancelled 420 Munich flights for tomorrow. Please check the latest flight information or contact your airline.
Flight operations in Cologne/Bonn will also be affected by #Sabine on Monday. As of today, 21 take-offs and 21 landings have been cancelled for tomorrow. Further deletions may follow. Passengers are asked to check their flight status with their airline.
In Düsselforf, Sabine has caused 120 cancellations today (mainly Eurowings flights) and 72 flights are already cancelled tomorrow.

According to FR24, your taxi (EI-DCI) is already in OPO since yesterday evening so no risk of "Due to the late arrival of the aircraft ...".
Both FR24 and Flightstats.com maintain the flight on schedule.
Forecast on arrival is windy but nothing so bad as to make landing here impossible. PROB40 TEMPO 0917/0920 22030G55KT, gusty but no excessive crosswind.
Have a safe flight.

EI-DCI dropped off-line on FR24.
Flightstats.com gives at 17:53Z/LT : tail changed to EI-EVI.
The latter arrived OPO at 16:57LT from Dole.
New ETA set at 19:30 by FR24.

so it takes off in MAD, flies to AMS, tried but fails to land 3 x, and then flies back to MAD with all AMS bound passengers on board?
And they have enough fuel on board? Or is it just this time, knowing landing at AMS could be risky?

Re: Storm Ciara 09/02/2020
Very strange: EBBR/BRU had seen 19 in use for both landings and take-offs, only to be expected with the strong southerly wind.
Now, around 20:05 UTC, operations seem back to the "standard" 25R for dep., 25L for arrival. OO-SSI aborted a 19 approach to turn aside then land on 25L.

Re: Storm Ciara 09/02/2020
too much departing and arriving/holding traffic for a single rwy to handle I think , as soon as the wind shortly turned to 220 they switched to 25L and 25R...jan_olieslagers wrote: ↑09 Feb 2020, 21:12 Very strange: EBBR/BRU had seen 19 in use for both landings and take-offs, only to be expected with the strong southerly wind.

The switch doesn't help a lot; a lot of aborted landings at the moment (3 in a row ... ).

More and more diversions away from BRU now after missed approaches... VLG from BCN is diverted to LUX, RYR from LIS is diverted to ?, RYR from BCN is diverted to ?, EZJet just aborted a second attempt to land at BRU and is also diverting, ElAl just aborted too... what a mess.

And it seems better in CRL. Some could divert to CRL (U21537 /EZS1537)

Re: Storm Ciara 09/02/2020
Festival go-arround in BRU now. 4 landings, 4 missing. With the heavy squalls on the cold-font comming in now, no improvement for the first hour.

RWY25 more suitable, doesn't mean much easier than 19 though.
