Fantastic news!

Post by killerwhale65 »

Hi guys,

i just had fantastic news this morning, as i found the tickets in the mailbox for out trip to Paphos (Cyprus) on May 16 - 26. We booked with Neckermann, so i was expecting a Thomas Cook or Cyprus Airways flight.

But, guess what ... WE'RE GONNA FLY TUI AIRLINES BELGIUM!!!!!.
:mexwave: :mexwave:

If that is not superb news. I was so surprised and happy. First time on a TUI, and hopefully on a B737-800 :!:

Enjoy your trip, BUT don't be dissapointed if it's a B734 instead of the B738. Chances are 50-50 to get the B738 ;)

This probably depends on the loadfactor. But there are only 2 possibilities. It'll be a B737-300 or a B737-400.

killerwhale65,
Enjoy your flight and I hope you can travel the 737-800 ! I flew with the Citybird 737-800 and besides the winglets, there is no difference in flying nor is there a difference inside.
On the other hand, Larnaca might be a very interesting airport with the invasion of Russian people who spent their holidays there.

At Tristar5OO,
I will be around Malaga-airport on the 15th of August 2004. If you are out htere that moment, give me a sign. I will arrive out of BCN on Saturday-evening and do some spotting on Sunday. Sunday-evening I fly back to BCN.

To All,
If any of the members know where to spot around the airport at Malaga, this would make my trip even more convenient.

Greetz, Karl

Have a nice flight &holiday :jumpy:

I hope the flight has not too much demand for a 737, you might fly with an even bigger and more special one :!:

I'll be in Malaga (marbella) for 2 weeks from the 12th to the 25th of july I think...I'm just going for a holiday...not for spotting :(
But maybe the hotel is not far from the airport

If you can, contact TUI AB now via e-mail or telephone. Explain the 'situation' and say that you are very interested in avaition.
When you are boarding the plane, be very kind to the main-FA and you'll see what happens
And if it's your lucky day to got in the cockpit, we love the shots
Have a great trip man :!:

I hope you get into the cockpit (inflight), and if so, don't touch anything  .

I think that after 9-11, the rules changed and only technical crew and/or dispatchers have acces to the flightdeck (inflight).

Well, not really no, but if you have a video camera you could try making friends with the cabin crew and see if they would get a video of the flightdeck for you, if you cannot go on the flightdeck.

I think the best too join the flight in the cockpit is (beside good connections  ) a letter too the captain, when boarding, give it personal to the Captain (or FO), or the Chef de (du? :? ) Cabine.

I worked with me ... good luck Matthias :D

Rutger

Like Rutger allready said, the best thing to do is to write a letter to the capatin. Say that, who you are, what you are doing in live, and that you are really interested in aviation. If you are lucky you'll have your jumpseat ride. ;)
It worked for me when I flew from Rome to Brussels in 2002 (after 9/11!!! ) on VEX.

I hope you will have the chance to visit the "flight deck" (they don't use the word cocpit in this company) BUT the policy of the company is to fly with a closed re-inforced flight deck door during the whole flight!!!

PS; TUI also uses the word "commander" and not captain, just for info

Good Luck :::)))
