It is quite pityful to see that the biggest city of Flanders, which is so proud of its harbour, diamond industry, chemical industry, its mayor ... is not able to make even a small airport liveable; and not able to attract or establish and make survive an airline with business connections.
The peope from 't Stad(t) call the rest of Flanders the "Parking"... Quite typical for their arrogance.
The "Parking" has been subsidizing everything in 't Stad(t) for decades.
Thanks to investors from the Far West of Flanders they have no a decent football team in the 1st league.
And something that looks like a real stadium.
Wake up Antwerp and make us proud, if you can...
(CRL and Liege can...)
Most stupid and irrelevant post in this entire threat, and besides that... way off topic as well.
Could the mod please have a look at this nonsense!

Hm, he could also learn some manners and polite language, of course. Even better, to remain factual and on-topic. But everybody has the right to commit a mistake.
And then again, there is some bottom of truth under all that uncouth language: it is quite a bit of a shame that a city like Antwerp has trouble to keep up its airport and at least one airline.

Antwerp is so great, its citizens don't have that much of a need to fly abroad. That's why Antwerp-based airlines are having such hard times. If you live on the parking, off course you want to fly away as far as possible

No need to moderate. Some fun and humour are always welcome
I think some details went lost in translation.
There is nothing funny about Jovan’s insulting post.
Bad humour should have no place in this forum.

I heard of rumours thé F50 of Air Antwerp would fly roundflights during thé 'bevrijdingsdagen' op 7-8 september 2019.
Any more info about this ?
Greetz from thé far east parking !
CXB
PS .. in these days it's indeed hard for ANR to sustain An airline.. yes thé distance to main BRU and competition of EIN together.. this with lack of support, direct connections the city,railways.. Well you can't have it all..

Air Antwerp has secured it's AOC! First flight is set for 9/9/2019.
Source:their Facebook page.
And on Twitter: "...Air Antwerp heeft #AOC en exploitatievergunning op zak - Belgian Civil Aviation Authority issues AOC and operating license to Air Antwerp..."
And, moreover, there is a codeshare with KLM, so it should help a lot to get the airplane as full as possible!
The hours of the flights are just perfect, I will spend many weekends in London I feel...

What are the benefits of the codeshare besides selling tickets on the klm.com-website and earning skyteam-points?
