Turkish Airlines leases 2 A333 from Avolon. They are MSN 1607 & 1624 which are ex-WOW Air aircraft.

Also first 789 of the Turkish Airlines (MSN 865) is "Parts Arriving" Stage at 787 spreadsheet. Registration is projected to be TC-LLA and continue from TC-LLx.

They are both full-economy cabin (not sure) so they will be used for Hajj services which done with A340's in the past.

Crazy expansion, fair competition ?

TK's subsidiary Air Albania is going to fly from Tirana to London, Bologna, Milan & Rome soon, they told on Facebook.

Allegedly THY has a project to change the business image, logos, fonts, colours and business class amenities, tickets etc almost everything. The Logo is getting slightly adjusted. The colour of TK name will be changed from blue to black but TK name will remain in capital letters. I understand they intend to implement this on the new B787 Dreamliners. So far THY hasn't confirmed this officially yet.

THY has told the media that based on aircraft availability they intend to start flying from Istanbul Airport to Zonguldak (Turkey).

AtlasGlobal recently announced that they will fly to this airport from Dusseldorf after Germania's bankruptcy as well as twice weekly also from Istanbul airport.

A link below is from THY's GM Mr.Eksi when they were doing a test flight to Zonguldak. Due to short runway and hills around the airport the companies have limited choices of aircraft type to be used for Zonguldak airport.
