I wish the Aer Lingus livery thats being phased out had belonged to TK, with its big fleet, huge network and now this amazing new mega base would have been perfect, the current TK livery is boring and generic only fix I see for it is current Turkish title in billboard style in black with the tulip and airlines part removed.

I don't think they have any plans for logo or design change at the moment. The only new thing is starting with the new Istanbul Airport is the new crew uniforms.

They have started using lower case for the title going from TURKISH AIRLINES to Turkish Airlines and from blue to black.

Not at all..All running OK at the new Istanbul Airport. The confusion comes with some website like flightradar24 bacause IST code has been allocated from Ataturk to Istanbul airport and ISL code to Ataturk now after the operational move. This might take few days for the websites to realise and adjust their listing.

You can get the best arrival/departure list from Istanbul airport mobile application.It lists all flights correctly.

Who? none listed at FR24 arrivals at ISL.

Flightradar doesnt seems to working with Istanbul's both LTBA and LTFM. Officially "new airport" ist LTFM&IST and older "Ataturk" one is LTBA&ISL. In my clients -at least- these are swapped out. New airport doesnt have ground ADS-B or MLAT (idk which one but you get the idea) so Flightradar cant confirm plane is landed or not, it is only estimating. When a plane arrives at new airport Flightradar is showing it is landed in LTBA (old).

According to an article in today's Pagtour newsletter, not everyone seems to be happy with the location:

...L’aéroport a été construit dans une zone peu favorable...Selon de nombreux experts, le nouvel aéroport d’Istanbul a été construit dans une zone de vents violents et de brouillard constant qui rend son exploitation difficile... En 2014, la Chambre des ingénieurs et des architectes d’Istanbul a publié un rapport indiquant que le site choisi générerait des problèmes dus aux microclimats. Ils avaient raison!
