Thanks for confirming: they announced.
Re: 2018 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
If you check carefully then you can see that it is during the next IATA Winter season, till 31th March.
As we know that their communication and PR is in very low performance, you can be sure that the flights to HK and other Chinese city will never restart again.
It was clear from the beginning. Runway too short, no full plance for pax and cargo, too much restrictions, it was doomed

What a shame!
Move to BRU and start operating flights to the USA....
Do a nonstop to Denver and make a deal with Frontier to offer a connection to 20 cities West of Denver such as SEA, LAX, SFO, LAS, SAN etc...
And that was my 2 cents

At a press conference this morning to announce the expansion of the terminal 1 building (see: https://www.aviation24.be/airports/brus ... kers-pics/), the Chairman of the Board of BSCA Laurent Lévêque announced that the search for a successor to CEO Jean-Jacques Cloquet would start Thursday next week with the designation of a headhunter. The aim is to have a new CEO in early January.

Not everybody thinks that CRL will have a new captain on the ship by 7th January 2019:sn26567 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2018, 17:13 At a press conference this morning to announce the expansion of the terminal 1 building (see: https://www.aviation24.be/airports/brus ... kers-pics/), the Chairman of the Board of BSCA Laurent Lévêque announced that the search for a successor to CEO Jean-Jacques Cloquet would start Thursday next week with the designation of a headhunter. a head hunter for a political job ? Who is naive enough to beleive that ?

The Chairman of the Board is a politician, but the CEO must have some experience in aviation, or at least in management, as was the case with Jean-Jacques Cloquet.

Re: 2018 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
actually it wasn't.
He learned on the field (and there is nothing wrong with that of course)
"C'est à partir de 2007, que J-J Cloquet entre à l'aéroport de Charleroi comme indépendant avec pour but de développer le département des revenus non liés à l’aviation (restauration, parkings, …). Bourreau de travail, il gravit les échelons, devenant membre du personnel à part entière en 2008, puis Directeur commercial non aviation (2009). En 2010, il occupe le poste de Directeur GRH et finalement devient l'administrateur délégué de l'entreprise à la fin 2012. "
But let's see if they can find a political person with aviation knowledge.
