Re: 2018 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
André, feel free to correct me if needed.- Is there a reason to park the A340s on the other side of the runway along the road for the old terminal?
-It is expected to park there 2.
Feasibility study is in progress, markings are already done. It is a space problem, a building needs to be moved, service ways (for vehicles) deviated. And it is at the opposite of the terminal, so there are organisation problems if moving a plane is needed while the airport is in Low Visibility Procedures.
And the problem is that there are lots of space, while BSCA is developing commercial and private aviation at the southern side. That means 1 or 2 A340 trim on their stands.
And also, all the services need to agree :
SPW, BSCA, Belgocontrol, Sowaer (+Works needed via public markets), the Safety Office (also SPW) and eventually the DGTA. It is not a piece of cake.

Présent! But Oilbeater would be a better translation, if any is needed. And what could I do for your honour?
Re: 2018 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
@ TLspotting: Thank you, I mean it.
@ B737MAX: I don't know you, I take it you don't know me neither.
My knowledge of the French language is really good enough to understand the original post without the help of any translation tool, believe me.
It's just a matter of principle my friend. The guidelines of this forum say that the poster should always try to make a brief translation in English when referring to or copying from an article not written in English.
And let's not argue about the knowledge of the "other" language of the Belgians, shall we? Besides that, you can't read/react on all the posts do you?
E.g. I missed your reaction on this one (oh irony):
To the mods: although it took me a while to write this post, please delete all unnecessary posts in this topic, including mine.
TLspotting had the only good reaction.
Thank you.

An article in Dutch from Flightlevel.be : https://flightlevel.be/55851/rwandair-p ... en-kigali/
Could someone can translate it please ?
You're not even nitpicking on the translation of TLspotting. Now I'm really worried!Re: BRU infrastructure: future
And what's that in English, please?
Remember the forum management insists on the use of this language.

Now that everyone has expressed his opinion about the use of languages in this forum, let's get back on topic.
But, please, as OO-JFP correctly reminded, if you quote a text in another language than English, take one minute to write a brief summary in English.
Thanks for your cooperation!

I understand that the official common language in use in main headings is english, so everyone can use it to be as opened and clear as possible to a maximum of skateholder persons of this forum from Belgium and all over the world.
Also by summarizing the essential ideas of articles in other languages to english.

Just heard on La Première : BSCA CEO, Jean Jacques Cloquet leaves the airport, and goes to Pairi Daiza!

A big loss for CRL. He was the CEO, independent from political parties, who put Charleroi on the European aviation map. And he was estimated by all his staff: never a strike at CRL even when all of Belgium was on strike. Blame the politicians who took away from him one of his prestigious titles, leaving him only as CEO.TLspotting wrote: ↑10 Sep 2018, 07:16 Just heard on La Première : BSCA CEO, Jean Jacques Cloquet leaves the airport, and goes to Pairi Daiza!

Good luck replacing him, indeed.
Unless this is not an accident.
Luc Partoune from LGG mentioned recently : both CRL and LGG could be managed by the same holding.
Controled by.... ?

My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

BSCA welcomed the 100.000th passenger, a nice milestone, flying with Air Corsica from or to Charleroi!

Air Corsica really made a good choice with BSCA, and Cloquet should me happy about that, I'm sure we can expect... More frequencies

What about the runway extension and new terminal on the south side of the airport, as Air Belgium is stopping flights to Hong-Kong ?
