Yes , this one came in very very high and made a great dive in the last moments just before touching down on 25L.

Thanks for the quick answer ;)

BTW when saying 480mm, have you allready taken the 1.6 x digital zoom into account or not ???

Yes , I had a 300mm fixed on my 300D thus giving me a 480mm when multiplying with the 1.6 crop factor , the plane just fixed in the frame :D

I'm very satisfied of this camera and will buy soon a 50-500mm lens which will give me almost a 800mm

Greetz & Good Evening,
As far as I noticed, every "high-levelled-wings"-plane (I do not know either the English nor the Dutch word for it), have the "nose-diving" aspect by landing and - depends of the loadfactor and destination - the "straight away"-take off course.
I sometimes find it easier to photograph an Avro on departure than on landing because the take-off is "straight away".
Another aspect which could influence the nose-diving are the crosswinds by landing (as it was for today) but I leave this discussion to the professionals.
Greetz, Karl

Yes , so are those CRJ's , except the new CRJ700 of LH , they have other wings.

haha, that F50 VLM must have thought:

"i'm all alone here .. not trafic around .. lets play some .. hmmmmmmmm how about simulating an approach to LCY ? (EGLC London City)" PNF: "yeah well .. great idea ! lets do that !"

( approach ILS on LCY is 5° downhill where a normal one is between 2° and 3° ;) )

or maybe the seet of the PF was set lower than normal .. the pilot must have thought .. "hmmz that's weird, normally I can see the runway by now .. lets pitch down a little more"

They are all great photos! I was particularly interested in the Swiss aircraft, I thought maybe it was the same one I photgraphed in BRU on the 31st March, but it wasn't.

Love the SNBA A330, I have only seen those aircraft parked at the terminal, the A330 is great to see in flight, or when it is coming head on towards you, and you can appreciate the huge wingspan.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

@Fabke,
Great photos.
I saw you found the bridge near the old Sobelair building.
Best place for takeoff on 25R.

For info
This wide body is taken at 190mm (x1.5 for the Nikon)
So, for mediumhaul aircraft ... best is indeed 300mm (x1.5 or 1.6)
Widebodied aircraft ... 200mm is sufficient.

I totally agree with you Louise. The wingspan of the A330 is impressive and very nice to see on approach or T/O. I always look out of the window at home when I know the A330 is coming :P

I bagged an A330 of BMI in Manchester a few years ago as it approached the terminal head on, that was on video though, I've never photographed one (hope to some time this year now with my new camera). Last year in MAN I bagged a Monarch one as it left the terminal, so that was more a back view. Superb aircraft all the same though.

Chris - I wish I could see them through my window at home - you are so lucky!
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

No it's not really at that place I was , I was near the Corporate Village , there's a parking and a lot of empty houses , all ruines and some of these houses seems to be burned , you know where it is? , it's near a hotel but the name escaped me

Nice photo too of that AA 767.

Will be tomorrow at BRU too :D

No , I think it's called Novotel , the fire brigade was training yesterday on those burned houses I talked about , I saw they were on fire...
