Re: Air Belgium in 2018
So that's it, they'll fly to Hong Kong and will perform wet-lease, like HiFly?
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
No. The next destinations in China have been announced in "L'Echo": Xi'An, Beijing and Shanghai. The wet-lease is only an opportunity to keep the aircraft and crew busy before the launch of the regular flights.shockcooling wrote: ↑29 Mar 2018, 14:49 So that's it, they'll fly to Hong Kong and will perform wet-lease, like HiFly?

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
The A340's aren't owned by Finnair (at least not anymore), they are owned by Airbus. If I remember correct the sale of the A340's had a buy back clause which obligated Airbus to take back the birds when the deliveries of the A350 started.

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
I assume the cabin crew for the Paramaribo flight will be half Air Belgium, half Surinam.
In such a case, how much would Surinam have to pay to AB for the whole operation? (order of magnitude)

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Impossible, as both airlines have different procedures. The minimum legal crew will be AB, whilst there will probably be extra Surinam crew with a commercial function only, they are not allowed to execute any safety related tasks.
