Niky said on facebook (air belgium page) that AB will take off with full pax and full luggage from crl with minimal cargo. i thought it was 257 pax maximum from CRL? My best friend work at CRL, i'm gonna ask him when the 2 planes are coming.
It comes down to a trade-off they have to make in terms of weight.
With a decent amount of cargo, they're most likely restricted to the 257 passengers. If they don't have that much cargo to carry, they can take a full load of passengers and luggage.

ok thanks. If some days they are not full of pax they can carry more cargo. i'm waiting for the reply of my friend, they are busy these days to prepare for Air belgium and to attract some news carriers soon
At a conference that I had organised for a group of people, somebody asked why it will take three years to extend the runway. BSCA CEO Jean-Jacques Cloquet replied that, at first a lot of authorisation are needed. When the works can start, the construction company can only start working when its equipment is in place after the night curfew starts at 23:00 and everything must be back in place when the runway reopens at 06:30. In fact they can only really work for 4 to 5 hours per night.
Thus Air Belgium will have to live 3 years under such conditions.

yep, it's starting this year.
BTW, an air belgium plane is already in CRL according to my best friend. i'm waiting for the picture.
Well, they cannot be standing at the gates, as there is no space, so they should be standing at the other side of the airport. Would however be quite strange, as AB posted yesterday in a reaction somewhere that they are still working on the inside. Why would they start that in BRU and finish it in CRL?

Because AB is special If she told me i trust her she didn't reply yet but they are busy preparing everything for AB and attracting new carriers
I must say the AB planes are looking great! One of the best airline liveries out there. It's sad to see them leave BRU, but I hope they'll be a great success and keep expanding their network and fleet and return to BRU when the time is right.
An airline flying the Belgian colours so distinctively as Air Belgium, belongs in BRU where they would have maximum exposure (contrary to a secondary airfield).
