You forgot an important spot 'de mosselbank'
Are those your very first aviation-pictures? (If it is, they are quite nice )
(If you use a digital, never use the 'digital zoom', but only the (real) 'optical')
Ok probably most of you knew all those spotting-spots but I heard at least 1 person that didn't know 'bout spot nr 5. so ...
Tell me 'bout de mosselbank. I've been walking from the west to the east end via the south and these are all the places (the only ones) where I was able to see anything really.
It is quite the first time I take pics. A few years ago I went a few times as well and then I used video camera more and took just a few pictures.
I used my cam with no digital zoom as far as I know. When I use a rel. low resolution I can see when optical zoom stops and digital starts. When I use the highest resolution it seems as though I have no digital zoom so unless the cam is fooling me, I didn't use digital zoom.
I'd love to go spot one day with a cam that does 2 things different than mine.
1) it needs waaaaaaaaayyyyyy more sharpness on the pictures. So I guess that megapix DOES matter than afterall, right ? (i got 2 megapix)
2) it needs just a little more optical zoom. something between 5 and 10 (i got 3 now).
Identify the runways for those who don't which is which and use a new map with the new terminal on it
Include viewing points like the carparks, Wingtips, Abelag, the point by the railway bridge where the train goes into the tunnel, Steenokkerzeel, the north side of the airfield.
It's a very nice work you've done. But for the moment you only have spotting places for planes landing on Rnwy 25L or 02. You can also add someplaces for Rnwy 25L and 20.
Great map of course , I have a BRU spottersguide too on my website , wouldn't it be a good idea to make links to all the sites that have spottersguides for BRU on Luchtzak , I'm sure there are more sites with good maps.
Avro/Chris >> off cours it would be the plan to add places from 07L and 25L and 20 etc. But then I'd have to make the walk from zaventem via the north of the airport to the point 6 on my map. Which I haven't done yet.
