You are correct indeed, but the opposite is not illegal. US carriers can operate between two EU cities, according the open skies agreement. Not fair, but legal.Bracebrace wrote: 28 Aug 2017, 22:15Yes. If it involves payload (pax/cargo) loaded in US city A, delivered to US city B it is illegal. Exactly: to eat or to be eaten. That's what you fight for through your politics. It is not even a funding question you have to protect the laws that are valid worldwide. Why does Europe has to be more "correct" than others?
Although the strawberries are an interesting remark. Nothing Belgian anymore except for beer - Belgian recipe, brewed in India. I am flemish, I sometimes see politics and laugh when they consider our "cultural" language our pride. Is that our pride? But wait, the Chinese are investing in Willebroek... not anymore, the Saoudi in Antwerp,...? Oops.
I get strawberries from my own garden by the way. When the time is right. Lots of people brew their own beer, own wine. What you do yourself, you control, you own. Our language? Don't make me laugh...
To eat, or be eaten.

It's what TNT Airways used to do, presumably to avoid the "slow" BCAA.

Happened a few months ago, Austrian registration OE-IAC, a Boeing 737-4M0, built for Aeroflot, first flight in april 1998.
Seems that ASL is done registering planes on the Belgian register though, there are currently 10 planes in the Belgian register with the last one registered a year and a half ago. ASL has in the mean time also 10 planes in the Austrian register, the last one OE-IAC from last September.
Austria is probably a bit cheaper to register planes with
