The result: Memphis banned and a negative image about Ostend again. Very well done! Thanks.
Hope it's a lesson for the future.

You're right EB-Air, they will definately board at Ostend ...a simple question, and I don't need to have an answer...
Which airport do these people use to take their charter to Spain? Are they going to an airport with no houses around it???
And it's always like that! I've once heard that the president of Daedalus (the BRU-version of Wiloo) is an ex-Sabena Pilot

he's filming that meter but when the aircraft flies over, u can't see how high it goes
because he's filming with the sunlight in front of him (tegenlicht of hoe noem je dat?)
And if you look to the houses in the background, I think these aren't that old, so i think the airport was there before those houses were build. Maybe they didn't know there was an airport @Ostend because it is too smal to see
in fact they aren't worth we spend 2 minutes of attention for them . . .

This same thing happens in the U.S. quite a bit. People will build their houses and bussinesses close to airports because the land is cheap. Then, after a year or so has passed, they'll bitch about the noise.dna wrote:I am fed up with WILOO's attitude (and that of many others), complaining about airports in built-up areas (we're heading the same way with Zaventem I'm sure).
I cant describe to you how angry I get when I hear this kind of :censored: .
Onward and Upward...

I wonder why we are making so much noice about not interesting people. Let them scream in their fields and let us continue to speak about interesting aviation news.
Couldn't agree more
Maybe so that they don't have to wake up too early when departing on a 6AM charterflight?danieln wrote:One question that I have never heard of the last few weeks and months:
Why did all these complainers buy their house in the neighbourhood of an airport???
Same situation here... Those who protest the hardest against the airport are the first to go on holiday by plane... I really don't get those people...
This issue is a difficult situation for aviation: you have the aviation lovers who like to spot old and rare aircrafts and on the other hand you have the people who are against flying crap flying over their heads.
I can understand that some people are afraid that certain planes are flying to Belgium/Europe, as you see to the Air Memphis company they had close connections with Flash Air and Flash Air was a company with the least respect for the safety of the passengers; small example: when a passenger asked the flight attendant to have a seatbelt because on that seat there wasn't any the flight attendant responded "hold on thight when taking off and landing!".
I feel this as false competition for the European airlines who are member of the IATA and working under very strict European laws. I will hardly believe that on a European aircraft the stewardess will say to the passenger that he needs to hold on thight for take-off without his seatbelt on
Passengers should be made aware that whenever you go on holiday you check the airline who will bring you to the destination, so more people refuse to fly those crappy airlines.
Don't get me wrong, I am not against night-flights or against aviation but I am for a much safer European airspace!
Passengers: fly SN Brussels Airlines, Air France, Ryanair, Turkish or another IATA-member!!

Bart

This WILOO crap is killing the economy in Belgium. It is everywhere the same since everewhere you have those left green politic parties. They are a thread for our economy and so on also for our lives, if they should get rid of those kind of groups the world would be a much better place to live in. As you can see they only use forums to get their negative info since original complaints are to minor to take serious. I've seen it in Wonesdrecht also, they got 127 complaints in one year, source were 3 people
Just let them have fun since they have time enough to do it............they don't have a busy aviation position
