On this picture, found on Twitter (https://twitter.com/PieterDeclerck) today, you can see the exterior of the Sky Hall almost completely renovated. FINALLY!
Another thing: I've noticed that in the tent going from the drop off parking towards the terminal, they've put some signs saying the area is 'currently being redeveloped'. Are there any plans/visuals of what they're planning to do here? (Btw, its much needed, the whole area looks awful)

It's a pity they used blue glass for the renovation it was not like that originally and I have the impression that all the buildings in Brussels are made with this blue glass...

Another 1,5hr queue at Brussels Airport this morning for passport control. The queue actually stretching to the escalators down to A gates. People missing flights left, right and center. Automatic gates .... closed (again)

I am sorry I found the youtube movie while I was looking for your problems on the Brussels Airport website. I have contacted the airport authorities. Hoping to get an answer.
Just a side info, I found they are very responsive and helpful when you contact them (Brussels Airport) via Facebook messenger
Perhaps you could ask there?

They have: Sometimes the waiting times do not exceed 10 minutes. But in busy holiday periods this might take up to 30-40 minutes. The airport suggests to come early to the airport, 2-3 hours up front.

I did, and the answer was: not the airports fault, federal police (unions) are responsible.

Did they tell you it was a union issue, or is that what you decided to make of it?

"Dit is de verantwoordelijkheid van de federale politie" .... but the situation of the automatic gates is an ongoing issue as the union is afraid for job loss

These recurring "technical" problems with the automatic gates should be investigated imho.

Right. So it's what you decided to make of it. Next time, say so instead of giving the impression that the airport said it was union issue. Report, don't assume.
