The stopover at Gander was 03h00-05h30 UTC, so probably a medical diversion.

The old 330s of SN are TOW limited and unable to carry the necessary fuel with full pax load.JustPlanes wrote: 07 Jul 2017, 21:32 OO-SFN just took off on Runway 27 heading for JFK...
There was a lot of heavy rain in New York earlier so SN501 came in here for a visit!..
this was poor planning by dispatch/ops. The bad weather was forecasted and 1 hour extra fuel was a must at the very least, this little detour will cost them 100x what the cost would have been of a few Tons of fuel... not to mention missed connections when this plane gets to JFK...

British Airways BA-117 LHR-JFK from that same 7th July was a mighty and powerfull 747-400. About the same arrival time. And also a divertion to Boston (after 25 minutes holding). Do you want the whole list with diversions and cxl for JFK that moment?Poiu wrote: 09 Jul 2017, 18:09 The old 330s of SN are TOW limited and unable to carry the necessary fuel with full pax load.
