Qeshm Air to launch Tehran - Brussels CRL route
Qeshm Air plans to launch a direct Tehran Imam Khomeini – Brussels Charleroi flight in the near future, reports ch-aviation. Qeshm will likely make its European debut later this month with flights between the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz and Hamburg Helmut Schmidt in Germany. Operations are to be on-board the carrier's recently delivered A319-100, of which type two more are expected in the coming months.
The airline secured its Third Country Operator (TCO) licence from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in October last year, alongside Iran Air and Mahan Air, becoming the first Iranian carriers to do so.

Re: 2017 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
Apparantly it will be CRL and not BRU. I hope so hard that this isn't because of the noise restrictions.
Re: 2017 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
It is more likely to be because of airport fees, just like Belavia to/from Minsk.

Oh oke. Are the fees in CRL that much lower than in BRU? I personally never heard that they were even thinking of CRL. I thought it would be a matter of time before they would come to BRU.

In the future, I think national company Iran Air IR could arrive in Brussels because of the orders of aircrafts...time will tell.
But it's funny Téhéran Charleroi

Indeed. It's RTL-RVI 2015. Subtitled and voice-over in Dutch.sn26567 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2017, 16:24I think it's the same series that's been broadcasted on RTL-TVI last year.Passenger wrote: ↑08 Jun 2017, 16:20 Just a reminder for those not visiting Luchtzak.be's homepage every day:

Re: 2017 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
Ryanair staff is worried about security breaches at CRL airside, because about 30 Walloon government officials can pass the security check without actually being checked.

Re: 2017 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
What the article says is absolutely true.
Some people do not need to go through the security checks. A least they go through the same gate as pilots but they are not searched (bags either)

Re: 2017 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news
This has been like this for YEARS! When I was still based at CRL at had some heated debates with security frequently when they were making me take my belt and my shoes off while these (often slightly drunk) "government officials" would go through and all bells and whisles going off. Reaction of security: "bonjour mon ami!" Kiss on the cheek and off they went. When I challenged it with airport management their words where: keep it quite, if we force them to go through security properly, they will shut down the whole airport through the Union connectionsDidymus wrote: ↑17 Jun 2017, 09:44 Ryanair staff is worried about security breaches at CRL airside, because about 30 Walloon government officials can pass the security check without actually being checked.
