There is a commission for SN if the ticket is booked through SN channels.

Why is this only possible after the takeover from LH?
Re: BRU Winter 2017-18: news, new routes, airlines
There were already some code sharing agreement before the take-over like Johanesbourg, Cap Town, Singapore, Nairobi, Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, etc
Having this interline agreement can be useful to explore some new market without taking to much risk.

According to deredactie.be, secretary Peeters is in China to talk about a modern silk route.
He will also have a meeting with the CEO of Hainan Airlines to talk about the Shanghai - Brussels flight.

According to Kris Peeters' twitter account it is the intention of Hainan Airlines to start the BRU-PVG route on October 25, 2017.

I think the chances that HU will start flying from PVG to BRU are (much) higher compared to Air Belgium ever lifting off from Belgian soil.

It seems that Easyjet will not cancel its Bordeaux service, as those flights are available (mostly 4 times a week) till March 2018 on their website.

It seems that EK will add a second daily flight DXB-BRU next winter.

Re: BRU Winter 2017-18: news, new routes, airlines
It means that in the evenings we will see a small long haul wave. Daily ET to Addis Abeba, three times a week Rwandair to Kigali and daily EK to Dubai all around the same time.
Maybe it's time for Brussels Airlines or United to start also with an evening long haul wave to add this second New York evening flight or to an other American destination. Just a thought but can make sence to take some transfer pax and to add them on the routes of SN or UA.
I'm still curious when Oman Air, Muscat, will start and what it will be with LATAM.....
