:D I don't think so... They are just BAD... :!:
Standard is too 'bad' to play European, in compare with Bruges or Anderlecht

greettzzz
Jense - your taste in Belgian football is impeccable, I cannot criticise you for it. I agree that Standard Liege are bad, more than bad :pukey: evil: Congratulations to Luchtzak for the good result for your team. Commiserations to our resident Standard Liege fan for your team's bad result - why the hell couldn't they have gone one better and lost :?:

Scarborough won their game I think.

Luchtzak is not alone anymore: KV Mechelen is my favourite too.

And, as the weekly KVM attendees figures show, there are thousands more of us, but the others just don't read www.luchtzak.be (yet).

Hi,

KV Mechelen has been my favorite team since years. And it is even more now they bought Van de Velde, the coach who was supposed to go and train the peasants of Lierse next year.

Nice to see that KV can offer more money than our neighbours from Lier, after they laughed at us for our financial situation!

Surely there can only be one option: "de club van geel en rood", "de Malinwa". Currently in Division 3, but I'd be very surprised if they stayed there beyond next season!

The real bad news in Liege is that the Royal Football Club Liege (Division 3) was declared bankrupt last week. The Great Old club (number 4 in the Belgian registry) will be allowed to complete the current championship, and even remain in Division 3 next year, but it will have to win the championship in order not to degrade in 2005.

I remember having been present at a RFCL 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid in the mythical Rocourt stadium when I was a student.

Football clubs in the UK often go bankrupt and end up in administration - Scarborough have had some hideous problems in recent times.

You say that you saw the team play Atletico Madrid when you were a student? How many millenia ago was that?  (and that is meant as a joke and not an insult!!)

Really? They've just been eliminated by the team of one of the smallest countries in Europe :)

By the way, rain_king, welcome to Luchtzak!

Real Madrid losing :?:

Sorry but I just love it when any team connected to David Beckham loses (and that includes the England team!)

Aye Aye Aye!! :( :(

A disaster! Real Madrid lost 0-3 against Osasuna, so now Valencia leads the Primera Division!

People beware next week on Sunday: KV Mechelen goes to Wetteren ;-) 8)

 Madrid losing again  The sooner that David Beckham is banished from the UK media the better (every day this week there are pages and pages in every UK newspaper about the state of his poxy marriage).

I also hope that England get knocked out very early in Euro 2004 then we might finally get a rest from this over-paid effeminate jessie.

Signed Comet the anti-Beckham

I can understand that some people are against Standard Liège but the supporters make a hell of a lot ambiance before and during the game! Check out this movie! It's 40 mgbs big and takes 8 min 15 secs.
