Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I am not so high level that I am kept up-to-date about all the latest news regarding the Board Meetings. And even if I was, I would probably not be allowed to divulge all the details.
Board meetings are indeed usually held in B.house.

Don't confuse the normal SN board meeting (on Thursday) with the LH Group Africa meeting that is hosted by SN in Brussels this monthbrusselsairlinesfan wrote: 07 Mar 2017, 10:11Thank you very much for this information! Will it take place @ the Diegem brussels airlines HQ? What can we expect from it? Is it an african network oriented board meeting only?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Thanks for this clarification... but then, when will they announce the l/h fleet renewal plan? At the normal SN board meeting or at the LH Group Africa meeting hosted by SN later this month? Just curious...RoMax wrote: 07 Mar 2017, 21:28Don't confuse the normal SN board meeting (on Thursday) with the LH Group Africa meeting that is hosted by SN in Brussels this monthbrusselsairlinesfan wrote: 07 Mar 2017, 10:11Thank you very much for this information! Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Does anyone have a dream scenario about this board meeting ? I like to dream ! I like to have a "positive" point of view ...
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Keep in mind that SN is now part of the LH Group, meaning that the SN board is not the only governing/supervising body that needs to agree on certain things (depending on what type of decision and how LHG is involved in it). For example at LH itself their Supervisory Board has to approve everything involving capital expenditure above a certain value threshold (in particular aircraft and other non-current assets), as well as long-term leasing of aircraft. Depending on how the deal is planned to be dealt with at SN, it might very well be that there are additional approvals needed from e.g. the LH supervisory board.
Just saying that even if the SN board gives its final approval tomorrow, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be made public already as there are additional steps to be taken in the formal procedure (SN is now via LH part of a publicly traded German organisation, that comes with some additional formal procedures that have to be followed).

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Well, yes and no. Unless the Company Statutes specifically provide that some decisions are reserved to the shareholders' assembly (i.e. Eurowings and/or Lufthansa now), the SN board legally has the power to take all (other) decisions. However, important decisions are usually prepared by the management and then submitted to the board for decision. Any required approval from the group should normally be obtained before a board meeting.RoMax wrote: 08 Mar 2017, 22:27 Keep in mind that SN is now part of the LH Group, meaning that the SN board is not the only governing/supervising body that needs to agree on certain things (depending on what type of decision and how LHG is involved in it). And, btw, could somebody on this forum provide the structure of the group? Does SN-holding still exist?

So who owns that 0,01% then?Bralo20 wrote: 09 Mar 2017, 12:37Ownership of Brussels Airlines (current status):convair wrote: 09 Mar 2017, 11:32 And, btw, could somebody on this forum provide the structure of the group? Does SN-holding still exist?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I didn't went through all SN related files. In the financial report 2015 (2016 isn't published yet) it is mentioned as 0,01% being owned by a subsidiary (mentioned as "dochters").
It could be one of the following companies in which SN Airholding NV holds a stake (percentage mentioned):
Airbel NV: 50,50%
Korongo BVBA: 50,47% (in liquidation)
SITA CVA: 0,17%
Entebbe Handling Services (ENHAS) Ltd.: 5,00%
Hydrant Refueling System NV: 4,88%
Or maybe it's something different.
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Today was the board meet, decisions has been taken today, it doesn't mean it has to be publicly announced today

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It seems that the some LH A340's (based in Munich) will replace the oldest A330's from SN.

What's your source for this statement?Boeing767copilot wrote: 09 Mar 2017, 23:56 It seems that the some LH A340's (based in Munich) will replace the oldest A330's from SN.
A340-300's or A34-600's?

Duke
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
What I heard is that the fleet should consist in 16 long haul aircraft by 2018... So the A340 of Lufti makes sense if Brussels Airlines want to integrate 6 new aircraft in 2 years of time
By the way the A340-300 are from 1993/94 while the A340-600 are from 2006/07

So it will be the A340-600?crew1990 wrote: 10 Mar 2017, 00:16 What I heard is that the fleet should consist in 16 long haul aircraft by 2018... So the A340 of Lufti makes sense if Brussels Airlines want to integrate 6 new aircraft in 2 years of time
