As they are wet-leases operated by CityJet on their AOC, they will definitely not receive a Belgian registration (same as the FlyBe and bmi aircraft), so following their reg logic for the SSJ it will be EI-FWX (with FWA, FWB and FWD already in their fleet).

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It's a kind of race, which aircraft will fly the first revenue flight, OO-SFT, OO-SSO or the first SSJ100 looks like they are all arriving at the same time
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Glad to see that it just has his regular SN livery, with SFT without any titles it had made me wonder if they would add something about EW at the titles but it seems that this is not the case, at least with SSO, no further pictures have emerged from SFT though but I guess it will be the same. Still wonder why SFT had no titles.

DPTS reports they will be flying to Geneva in April:

Those SSJ's are, together with some A319 and A320, the replacement of the Avro's. So I guess they'll fly on the routes the Avro's were/are flying on

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Will SN keep the Dash8 wet-leased from Flybe and the ERJ145 wet-leased from bmi?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Hello

If I remember well what someone said many many months ago (in this topic?), Lufthansa is "now" against turboprops and only accepted the Flybe DH4 leases as short term interim solution.
The initial lease contract was due to end in October 2015 but was extended for 2 years until October 2017 (no idea if OCT17 is still the planned end of lease).
With some schedule and capacity adjustements, SN will probably be able to operate the flight schedules of the 2-3 DH4 and the 1-2 ERJ by the 3 SSJ coming.
On a side note, I can't wait for these SSJ

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It is correct that the current q400 contract terminates at the end of the SU17 season. However, there is a new tender ongoing for the provision of a "50-seater". Although this tender aims at a capacity slightly lower than the q400, it doesn't exlude it.
I don't have the impression that the new tender has anything to do with "LH (supposedly) being against turboprops", but I can be wrong as well.
In terms of strategy, I believe the current goal is to have 3-4 100 seaters (SU9) and 3-4 50-seaters (ER4/DH4?) to serve a number of thin (high yield) routes with a reasonable frequency. Then around 35 A32F and a (growing) number of A330s to operate the core markets, with a focus on growth in Africa.
On a side note, a decision about the longhaul fleet replacement will be taken in 2 weeks. You can definitely expect more news before the end of March.
