skeyes (ex-Belgocontrol) ATCO vacancies
Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Out of curiosity, is everybody that started the training in 2015 & 2016 still in, or did people voluntarily stepped out because of the above mentioned regime (stay in Sweden, hard study/work,...)?
I passed al the tests (apart from medical) in 2015 but was put on the reseve list. In June 2016 when people were called based on the reserve list to pass the medical I didn't receive an invitation, later it turned out that age (I am over 30) was the problem (although that wasn't mentioned before).
Looking back, I am happy that I did the tests but it will continue to give " a bad taste" that age was the determining factor despite not being informed about that in 2015. But at the same time I realize now that it would have been extremely hard (combining study and a young family) and the only thing I can regret is not having participated in the tests back in 2010.

Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
A certain number of people left the Training program, both from the group that started in 2015 (still fully trained in Belgium) and the group that started in 2016 (first group to go to Sweden).
As far as I know, none of them decided to stop the training themselves.
Don't be fooled, passing the selections is the "easy part".

Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
I have my first test the 14th of February, can't wait for it. Have everything except for the test planned down to the T, clothes are already ironed and waiting on me like it's the first day of school then..
Anything I should think about outside of making sure I'm as well rested as I can be? Also.. do I print the e-mail they require me to show or do I just show it on my phone?

Welcome, Mintage!
Outside of making sure you're well rested, there's really no preparation you can do that will help you in any way. All tests are explained in detail, and you get more than enough time to practice.
I would indeed print the email, just to be on the safe side of things.
Other than that, good luck!

A little bit off topic, but not really very much:
Interested in becoming an air traffic controller? The time is now! The new session of student training is scheduled to start in October 2017.

Check out this interview with Nicolas De Koninck, recruitment specialist at MUAC, about what it takes to become a 'master of the skies.' MUAC will also be attending several education fairs, starting today (10 Feb 2017) with Einstieg Köln, followed by Einstieg Frankfurt on 17 and 18 February.

Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Just came back from my FEAST1 test. Seemed to go decent but I have no clue and they obviously haven't disclosed it.
Seems that they moved up the dates as instead of probably leaving somewhere in June the ones that make it will leave for Sweden early May. Probably due to the low amount of candidates compared to what has been reported before(623 candidates compared to 1000s).

Just finished phase 1. Very difficult to gauge your performance on these assessments. Sadly, I don't put my hopes too high... Good luck to anyone else taking part of the selection process !

Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Well, just got my invitation for Phase 2. I didn't see that coming to be honest. Looking forward to it !
Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Congratulations! I hadn't placed my hopes very high either but got the mail I got denied. Not sure what I'm going to do now, oh well.
Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Sad to hear you didn't make it. I don't exactly know how Belgocontrol interpret the results of each tests and how they eventually decide whether you make it to the next round or not. Must be a complex process. Anyone have a clue on what to expect for Phase 2 ?
Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies

Good luck to everyone participating in the tests right now!
I'm part of the second group in Sweden we just finished the Basic and are back in Belgium for a few weeks. Looking forward to see some of you join us in May!
Be prepared for hard work (that is also a lot of fun)! It's worth it

Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
Just received an e-mail this morning telling me I passed the group assessment. However, no information has been given regarding the beginning of the course. It will probably be either May or November. We should get an answer by the 11th of April. Can't wait !!! Anyone else ?
Re: Belgocontrol ATCO vacancies
I've passed the group assessment as well, but haven't heard anything from Belgocontrol since Friday last week. Have you got any further news yet 737pilot?
