Not too shabby despite the decrease in pax loadfactor. Seems SN is continuing to be on the right track.

A high (>90%) loadfactor is not crucial to SN's business model.sean1982 wrote: 09 Feb 2017, 15:18 A load factor of 63.9% is disappointing, seeing that their rivals are up in the 90% and it's crucial to the business model
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
A read up of the "yield negative, LF positive" strategy that most LCC and hybrid carriers follow around the world, will tell you that a high LF is a crucial part of that kind of business. The fact that the ASK is bigger than the RSK is also not a very good sign, as it indicates growth vs incoming revenue.DeltaWiskey wrote: 09 Feb 2017, 20:06A high (>90%) loadfactor is not crucial to SN's business model.sean1982 wrote: 09 Feb 2017, 15:18 A load factor of 63.9% is disappointing, seeing that their rivals are up in the 90% and it's crucial to the business model

Lol. Please give me one example of an airline that has more RSK than ASK.sean1982 wrote: 09 Feb 2017, 20:58 The fact that the ASK is bigger than the RSK is also not a very good sign

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
No, seriously. To compare January 2017 figures to January 2016 figures without referring to the disaster from 22nd March 2016 is not fair towards Brussels Airlines.

I just edited several comments. May I please remind you to play the ball (the facts), not the players (the authors) ? PLEASE ! Let's keep it a fair playground !

OO-SSE is now operating BRU-NTE-BRU (SN3563/SN3564).
Tech reason or extra demand on this route today?

On the 15th of February, SN will exist for 15 years.
In these 15 years they have flown almost 80 million people.
=> 70 million in Europe
=>8 million in Africa
=> over 1 million in North America

However, operation of the 33 wet lease jets is only one step on Eurowings’ growth path in Europe. The plan is to integrate Belgium’s Brussels Airlines, which currently has 51 aircraft, into the Eurowings Group as of 2018. As a result, the Eurowings fleet will expand within a short space of time to more than 160 aircraft.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
Well, it took exactly 1 month to confirm that Brussels Airlines is dead in the water... Somebody must really hate SN at LH HQ. (Yeah, Spohr indeed)
15 years after it's birth we can plan for the funeral of SN.
I kinda wonder if the latest A330 will have Eurowings titles with the SN Livery.

Another A319 is scheduled on 12 Feb. I guess this is due to traffic forecasts.SN501 wrote: 10 Feb 2017, 11:57 OO-SSE is now operating BRU-NTE-BRU (SN3563/SN3564).

This type of replacements is not unusual. On 31 Jan, an SN Avro RJ100 operated the flight.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
What exactly changed in that 1 month? LH said in December that SN will be integrated into the Eurowings Group as from 2018 and that's exactly what they say today as well.Bralo20 wrote: 10 Feb 2017, 17:04 Well, it took exactly 1 month to confirm that Brussels Airlines is dead in the water... What we don't know yet is how the integration will exactly happen (EW will have to prove itself just as much as SN this year, as basically the best of both should create the base for the 'new EW' as from 2018). At least until end 2018 the current name will be kept (complemented by a tagline refering to Eurowings), what happens with the brand afterwards will likely very much depend on the brand recognition and reputation in key markets like Belgium and sub-Saharan Africa and the fit within the Wings platform. But SN is much more than a brand, so please no need for such dramatic posts...
