Ex "OO"- registrations
Today I have updated the aircraft registration page with many aircrafts. It are the old aircrafts of Sabena from the DC47 until the A340. Due problems with searching for information it can be that there are ex Sobelair aircrafts in the list that are registered as ex Sabena, if you have the right information please send me a Private Message or an email, if I get feedback from the visitors than the database be updated. There are not all of the ex- Sabena aircrafts in the database, I know, but this is just a start. The aircrafts are in three databases, part one with the old, part two whit the Boeings and part 3 with the Airbus aircrafts.

André,
The only airlines where I have the ex – registrations of are airlines that failed bankrupt. Like Sabena and City Bird, you can maybe help me, if I know the prefix of the airlines it is easier to find them. I know that Sabena was OO-Sxx and City Bird OO-Cxx. But of other airlines like Air Belgium I don’t know it exactly, I suppose it is OO-Pxx. Do you know maybe know the registrations of Air Belgium and Brussels International Airlines, I have a lot of B737 whit a OO-Lxx registration, was that TEA?

Dave,
Indeed OO-LTx (LTA to LTY, I'm not sure there ever was an LTZ) was the "trademark" of TEA and later EBA and Virgin Express before they christened their planes OO-VEx.
Example: OO-LTM (cn 25070 / 2037) Initial delivery 06/91, ex OO-LTM (TEA), OO-LTM (Eurobelgian), F-GLTM (Air Provence), F-GMTM (Virgin Express France). Now Virgin Express.
Air Belgium had B737s (OO-ABB, ILF, ILH, ILJ, ILK, PLH) and a B757 (OO-ILI); it briefly had A320s (OO-AEY, AEZ) in Airtour colours.
BIA had an B737-400 (OO-RMV) and an A321 (OO-CPS)

Thanks Guys,
I have tracked the registrations you gave and will add them to the database as soon as possible. When you have more information, you can give it to me. I have a question for you, the airlines like Air Belgium , constellation and BXI, were charter airlines, but where is that capacity of these airlines now? I forgot almost City Bird. Now there are in Belgium maybe 15 or 20 charter aircraft and in the mid ‘90, there were maybe 30or 40 aircrafts.

You can find a lot of information on older OO-registered airliners in publications from Aviation Society of Antwerp-ASA. They just published their third BCARG-Special on airliners in Belgium, this time the Douglas DC-4/C-54. Special 1 was on the Boeing 707/720 and Special 2 on the Convair 240/440/580.
Hello guys,
I can announce you that part 4 and 5 of the Ex- “OO” registration database are finished. In part four you will find the aircrafts of former Belgian airlines that went bankrupt. In part five you will find the ex aircrafts of SNBA, TNT, Virgin and Sobelair. The database is not finished, I am still looking for registration of former Belgian aircrafts, and their present users. If you know more ore there is an error in the database do not hesitate and send me a private message or an email.

Very nice work, Dave. May I make 3 suggestions:liebensd wrote:I can announce you that part 4 and 5 of the Ex- “OO” registration database are finished.
1) Part 4: write CONSTELLATION for the name of the former operator of the OO-COx planes.
2) Could all the ex-OO be regrouped on one single page? Or else, have in the registration index page a short explanation on which aircraft are in each of the 5 existing ex-OO pages.
3) In the left column, Airdraft Refistration should come before Airline Meals in the alphabetical order.
Keep on with the good job, Dave

The ex “OO”- registration database is cut in 5 parts because the limit of lines that I can write is 500 and I need almost 30 lines for each aircraft. For the moment I am looking for an interactive aircraft registration database, but I dint not find the right software to made it. If someone knows some fine software they can always contact me.
Ex “OO” registration database:
Part 1 : Old timers of Sabena
Part 2 : Ex Boeings of Sabena
Part 3 : Ex Airbuses of Sabena
Part 4 : Ex other Belgian airlines
Part 5 : Ex aircrafts of present Belgian airlines
Greetz,
Dave
