Strange routings on BRU-VNO-BRU

Hi all,

Recently I flew the route between Brussels and Vilnius with Brussels Airlines. When I looked at the flown routes in FlightAware, I noticed the planes actively avoid crossing Dutch airspace around Maastricht. Not only my routes show this behaviour, all previous routes between those two destinations display the same manoeuvres. Why must this airspace be avoided?

Not sure if it is Maastricht EHBK your plane avoided or the military area around Kleine Brogel EBBL*. There have been similar reports from private pilots.

*and not EBKB as I first typed

Hi,

Indeed KB air base is restricted airspace for all civilians... Nobody may see our nukes, who aten't there officially !

There are a lot of other strange routings anywhere ! Maybe you can open a topic about it !
My last flight with SU from OTP to SVO avoiding Ukraine for Knows reasons would fit perfectly in strange routings!
Can't the works make any difference about politics and civilian airlines ? The world itself would love it and would make fares cheaper and routes shorter
