.A local newspaper (in Afrikaans) reports that the damage to the 787 was "cosmetic", and according to FR24 the return flight took off 3 hours later. It's unclear from the report in the newspaper how the aircraft was guided to its parking space. I haven't been at Windhoek Airport for the last 10 years, so I don't know how the airport looks today. But ten years ago there was soo much open space (just like in the whole country) that one doens't need a follow-me car.sn26567 wrote:A Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 registered A7-BCC has collided with a mast during taxi in Namibia.

On the other hand: 10 seats abreast on a 777... the reason I avoid Emirates...

About half of the airlines operating the 777 have now 10-abreast, but there is still a little 50% who still have the 3-3-3 layout. I have vowed not to fly a 10-abreast 777 (or a 9-abreast 787 for that matter). At least long-haul!lumumba wrote:Is it so rear Air France has the same configuration....Stij wrote:10 seats abreast on a 777... the reason I avoid Emirates...

Sorry, couldn't resist.
I don't fly AF either (also because of CDG and the TGV joke)lumumba wrote:

Sure they do better than in Brussels they are integrated in Skyteam completely not like in Brussels.Yuqu12 wrote:I read somewhere on facebook that Jet Airways wants to start using a 777 for thier routes to AMS. Could someone confirm this? That would mean that they are doing better there than at BRU.
