Hilarious! I can imagine the official comments: "a slight hickup in the IT system, our engineers are working at it with high priority"

Another proof you have to be careful with statistics as they often support perception more than anything else, until they suddenly don't and then they reveil just how relative their proof is:

NMBS/SNCB more punctual that Ryanair.

At this very moment, Surinam Airways PY-993 (SLM-993) Amsterdam-Paramaribo is well on his way to Surinam. Delay: 48,5 hours.

Seems SLM's sole long haul aircraft PZ-TCR (A340-300) had an unplanned maintenance issue at Brussels Airport a few days ago:

A Plus Ultra A340-300 already did another rescue flight for Surinam Airways.

I guess ASR-282 (King Air 90) is in the air for coverage of the cycling race "Grote Prijs Jef Scherens", live on VTM tv. That road race is now ongoing in/near Leuven/Louvain.

Indeed :-)
Noticed the past couple of years that in many (or even most) cases of airborne TV transmission relay, it's the guys from Sotravia doing the flights.

KLM KL-9896 B777-300ER PH-BVA is on his way back from Rio (GIG) to Amsterdam, with a lot of gold, silver and bronze onboard. The aircraft will be escorted by 2 Dutch F-16's. ETA at Amsterdam is 13h03 local.

Our great jazzman Toots Thielemans passed away yesterday. What relation with aviation? I'll tell you.

In 1950, when Toots emigrated to the US, it was necessary to reside 6 months in the country to be allowed to play music for a living. How did Toots spend those 6 months? He worked at the New York office of Sabena on Fifth Avenue! In 1951 he got his license to play, started his career (and became a good customer of his former New York employer).

RIP, Toots!

SN didn't do anything (the athletes flew SWISS). But Brussels Airport organised an official reception on their arrival yesterday night.

Egyptair trying to compete with SN on Africa flights? I wonder how long SN are going to keep their codeshare on the Egyptair flights (remember: they also dropped the codeshare on Ethiopian flights to Adis Ababa).

There is not so much overlaping from the US and Europe in fact only Entebbe.

From the US is much longer to fly to Lagos,Accra or Abidjan ans Brussels is not flying to Asia yet.
Hasta la victoria siempre.
