Also Friday 17th June, at 15h00 in Toulouse: Italy-Sweden. So a lot of Italian charters will have to leave Friday early morning. Just wondering if the Italian ATC's will keep them grounded.sn26567 wrote:Tomorrow 17 June, strike of Italian ATC.
Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2016
After their 4hr-strike today, Italian ATC want to strike again on July 23; calls on EC to ‘act immediately’.

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2016
Three of Air France's pilot unions have announced a new 4-day strike from 24 to 27 June, again during the Euro 2016. Their previous 4-day strike at the beginning of the Euro 2016 was not a big success: they claimed 70% of the pilots were on strike, but Air France managed to operate 80% of its flights.

While the AF pilots have cancelled their strike from 24 to 27 June, French ATC confirmed their umpteenth strike from today 1700 UTC until Friday 24/06 0400 UTC. Expecting a Ryanair call on the EU....

But the other parts of Brussels Airport should work normally.
Charleroi is more complicated: there might be blockades, hence it is advised to arrive 3 hours in advance.

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2016
...Due to baggage handlers' strike in Brussels Zaventem Airport (24 June), Ryanair will not be able to accept any checked-in baggage for flights to/from Brussels Zaventem. Affected customers will receive further details via SMS and email...- sent by Ryanair Customer Services.
Isn't it a bit strange that only the baggage handlers at Brussels Airport are on strike, and not those at Charleroi? Is it because the PS and FGTB, who organize this nationwide strike, don't want that Walloon airports are hit?

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2016
Apart that it's another confirmation that your dislikes Brussels Airport: the fact that you, as acting PR from the Walloon airports, don't even want to answer my question, confirms that is indeed on purpose. The PS and the FGTB don't want that airports they rule are damaged. So no strike at CRL, no strike at LGG. But at competition airports, like BRU, the PS and FGTB organize a strike.Acid-drop wrote:Ah the calimero effect is back.
Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2016
and again a beautiful calimero answer
poor you, everybody is against you.
It's a federal strike (Antwerp is paralized just the same) and it's already mentioned a few post earlier that both BRU and LGG cargo are impacted.

Their flights to/from Brussels seems to have a good yield tomorrow: no cancellations for BRU during this strike.sn26567 wrote:Also on 5 July, 13th French ATC strike of the year! 8 Ryanair flights to/from CRL cancelled...
