Thunderstorms cause delays, divertions and damaged aircraft at the Abu Dhabi Airport. Just now, there's an air show at the airport.

Some short movies:

N77014 on final approach into Brussels. Even if delayed, I do not know why, but I like... ;). FYI, it used to be Continental's special paint livery "Peter Max NYC2000" aircraft...

Airplane art just reached new heights on Flightradar24. Perhaps the world's first airplane portrait by an airplane?

A cargo package on a Air Serbia passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia contained two missiles with explosive warheads. Final destination was Portland (Oregon, USA). The two guided armor-piercing AGM-114 Hellfire missiles were discovered last Saturday by a sniffer dog at Belgrade Airport.

Must be quite expensive to do, so I am curious to learn what it is they are looking for.
Thank you.

It looks like here are serious shortcomings at BEY airport. If they can't detect this kind of stuff in the checked baggage:

Reading is a gift. The important thing is 'A CARGO Package'. Cargo is never treated as 'checked baggage'.
However it is a huge security failure when it makes it on a plane.

The better question is, what is NOT photographed like that. One example, Bing Maps 'bird perspective' at low level, is not satellite based, but provided by aerial survey planes, similar to the ones of 'AeroData' stationed at ANR.

Maybe a silly question, but isn't this a more expensive method than making use of satellite images?
You'd expect that access to satellite photographic technology would be available at reasonable prices these days, say on a hourly lease basis?

KLM role at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is being investigated by Dutch competition regulators, following complaints from other airlines that KLM’s dominance at Schiphol gives it an unfair advantage over its competitors.

Royal Brunei Airlines' first all-female pilot crew lands plane in Saudi Arabia - where women are not allowed to drive

The first ever all-female flight deck crew for Royal Brunei Airlines has operated a plane from Brunei to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Although it was a milestone for the airline, the pilot crew touched down in a country where women are still not allowed to drive a car.

To mark Brunei’s National Day, which celebrates the country’s independence, Captain Sharifah Czarena Surainy, Senior First Officer Dk Nadiah Pg Khashiem and Senior First Officer Sariana Nordin flew flight BI081 to the Middle Eastern country on 23 February.
