A cargo package on a Air Serbia passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia contained two missiles with explosive warheads. Final destination was Portland (Oregon, USA). The two guided armor-piercing AGM-114 Hellfire missiles were discovered last Saturday by a sniffer dog at Belgrade Airport.

It looks like here are serious shortcomings at BEY airport. If they can't detect this kind of stuff in the checked baggage:Passenger wrote:A cargo package on a Air Serbia passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia contained two missiles with explosive warheads. Reading is a gift. The important thing is 'A CARGO Package'. Cargo is never treated as 'checked baggage'.sn26567 wrote:It looks like here are serious shortcomings at BEY airport. However it is a huge security failure when it makes it on a plane.
Re: Trivia 2016 (miscellaneous news)
The better question is, what is NOT photographed like that. One example, Bing Maps 'bird perspective' at low level, is not satellite based, but provided by aerial survey planes, similar to the ones of 'AeroData' stationed at ANR.Inquirer wrote:Any idea what it is that is bring photographed like that?

Maybe a silly question, but isn't this a more expensive method than making use of satellite images?DIBO wrote:The better question is, what is NOT photographed like that. You'd expect that access to satellite photographic technology would be available at reasonable prices these days, say on a hourly lease basis?
