The aircraft has already performed high speed taxi tests, during which they showed off with a rotation.
It also taxies past a Embraer E175 and it looks much sexier and slicker.

Hmm always liked the look of the EMB family but after seeing the MRJ's nose and then seeing again an EMB, it looks like a bit of a dwarf and outdated look. Never would have expected to get that sensation. The MRJ looks indeed very very neath

Exactly as you described it Flieger.
I invite others to watch the video as it's a very surprising and IMO quite shocking effect.

Nagoya, November 10, 2015 –
Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) today jointly announced that the first flight of the first flight test aircraft of the MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet), their next-generation regional jet, is scheduled to take place in the morning of November 11.

In implementing the flight test, utmost priority will be given to safety. The flight schedule is subject to change if deemed necessary due to conditions relating to the aircraft, weather, etc.

Hi,

A new plane was born today with its first flight !
The Mitsubishi Regional Jet took off this morning from Nagoya Airport.
More then 200 order already and deliveries can start from 2017...
A new plane in competition with Embraer and Bombardier ...

Very majestic airplane.
Imo this aircraft will be rubbing shoulders with Embraer for the market leader position in no time.

Mitsubishi Aircraft says the operational performance of its MRJ regional jet prototype exceeded expectations during its 90-minute maiden sortie this morning.

“The MRJ successfully took to the sky today thanks to ongoing cooperation and support from all members involved,” says Mitsubishi president Hiromichi Morimoto.
“We will make our utmost efforts towards type certificate acquisition, committing all our resources to develop and produce the finest regional jet aircraft to enter commercial service in 2017.”

Such nice footage, thanks for sharing Flanker2.
This plane looks really awesome and it's nice to read it seems to exceeds expectations even in flight.
