Question about the Brussels Airlines drop off and Diamond Lounge

Hello everybody,

Next Thursday I will leave for my annual summer holiday from Brussels. Although I have booked a ticket on the Austrian Airlines website, the flight I take to Vienna will be operated by Brussels Airlines. In Vienna I will take a longhaul flight that is operated by OS. Do you think I can use the Brussels Airlines Drop Off counter for both flights, as both of the airlines are part of the Star Alliance?

Has anybody already experienced the Diamond Lounge? What was it like? Is it well worth the money?
