I flew for the first time with Thomas Cook and it's the first time in my life with a charter flight that we even don't receive a glass of water!
Is this normal I thought that they where oblige to give at least water?

Hi,

There isn't any obligation whatsoever to give water for free if you travel in economy without a meal (unless if it's for medicine).

They probably would give water in case of an extended delay on ground ( or at least in my company we do that).

Anyone know which frame the last A320 (which is supposed to be transferred from Condor this month) will be and what the Belgian registration will be (OO-TCU, OO-TCX, or something else maybe)?

Thanks in advance! :)

There will be a wet-leased A330 from Thomas Cook Scandinavia, once a week on Sunday only for the RHO flight.

Partnership between Thomas Cook and Club Med.
The collaboration of Thomas Cook and Club Med will be strengthened in the various markets where the two companies are present .

Which was to be expected as the Chinese Fosun group has a shareholding in both companies.
Does it mean that Thomas Cook Airlines will take a larger share of the Club Med flights, for instance in Belgium ?

Brussels Airlines already has a big contract with Club Med to several destinations all year round... I think in Belgium they'll extend the contract with SN over TCAB...

Agree. TCAB are very cautious not to expand their fleet beyond what they can reasonably do.

Both groups are at present in the red, and the new shareholder has not put its money there just because he likes that color, I presume. Something will have to change.
The two companies obviously can benefit by cooperating also in the air transport - although perhaps not much in Belgium, which is a small market for them.
We'll see.

Club Med clearly chooses for airlines even if these are 'in the red', probably because they deliver the best quality. And in case of Brussels Airlines they were not the cheapest in the tender....
So you see, being 'in the red' doesn't mean anything to do business (and this for several years now)...

A good cooperation I could see is on the long haul, together Club Med and Thomas Cook can feel a 767 or a A330 to some exotic destination they have in common. Belgian tourist could then fly directly to Punta Cana or Cancun instead of via CDG for Club Med or FRA for Thomas Cook. Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium could the lease their own A330 or using the one's of Brussels Airlines, Hifly or any other airlines on some day.

Hello

Brussels Airlines is not offering their A330's on the charter or ACMI market (ONLY for the Red Devils) and do you know how expensive HiFly is?

I would stay in the Thomas Cook Group and ask UK or Condor or Scandinavia for a widebody.

No I don't and this is why I was just pointing the fact that Thomas Cook and Club Med could work together on a long haul product whatever the aircraft come from.
