As a tribute to Jean Mermoz . He died aboard the Southern Cross (la Croix-du-Sud) . That was a Latécoère 300 flying boat. He is viewed as a hero, many schools are named after him.

As a probable consequence of the recent events, the customers of the travel agencies seem to avoid the muslim countries : Maghreb, Jordan, Turkey - for their summer holidays. Spain and Greece attract them again.

Re: Trivia 2015 (miscellaneous news)
Ryanair ground crew decided to have a laugh by drawing a giant snow penis on the ground next to the plane at Dublin airport.
Clearly, passengers complained.
So, how did Ryanair respond to this ‘controversy’?
They said: ‘While our ground crew excel at industry leading 25 minute turnarounds, art isn’t their forte, as they’ve clearly forgotten to draw wings on their snow airplane’.
