Spotting request 06/03/04
Hey,
Tomorrow there will be a northernwind, so my guess is runway 02 will be in use.
How do I get to the best spottingplace near 02/25L ?
Best Regards
Raymond

Well, do you come by car or by train/bus/...?
When I come by train, I do the following:
- get off @ Zaventem (Not airport, but "dorp")
- walk up the white stairs, when you are above the stairs, turn to right...
- when you get off that bridge, do an immedatly turn to the left...
- follow the railway until the next bridge...
- turn on that bridge, then you are @ the other side of the railway...
- turn to right and follow whole this street, after 7 a 8 min. walking, you will arrive @ 02...
I can't explain by car, it's too difficult, and: my dad knows how to get there, I not, I always come by train...

A couple of years ago I took the following road:
-follow the 'Leuvensesteenweg' direction Brussels
-Turn right at the Q8 fuel station
- follow this street al the way down until you arrive at a junction
- take right
you're prette close then...
I don't remember the details anymore, too long ago...
I hope this helps..

... turn left under the railway bridge and follow the road for 300m and you are there!CST wrote:A couple of years ago I took the following road:

If you come by car and you take the highway to BRU don't follow the signs to get in the airport but keep right direction Zaventem-Centrum.Jense wrote: you will arrive @ 02...

And the second round-about keep following Zaventem-Centrum. Follow the main road, when you drive over a railroadbridge turn left immediately after that bridge ( one way street ). And the end left and immediately right, next to the railroad. At the end of the street you arrive at RWY02.
Good luck! 8)

Saw on www.biac.be tomorrow morning a flight from Puerto Plata coming in, an A310-300 from Air Comet.
Never heard of this airline, didn't know Louise had her own airline.
Anyone got a pic of this "bird"?

Bert's dispersion plan is dead. It was killed by the Belgian supreme court (hof van cassatie/cour de cassation).luchtzak wrote:you never know with Bertjes dispersion planning
Did you know that by concentrating the flights to the Noordrand (Meise, Grimbergen, Neder-over-Heembeek where Bert lives) you incommodate only 20,000 people, whereas Anciaux's dispersion plan manages to incommodate 300,000 persons!

According the figures (source: De Standaard newspaper), the Noordrand counts most of the 'incommodate persons'.
The route along/over the Brussels-canal area counts the smallest number of 'incommodate persons'.
On the second place is the Zaventem-Leuven zone; third is the Oostrand
and most populated area is the Noordrand.
