The guy at BIAC responsible for the arrivals panel did not dare to write "LANDED" after the first train (SN6626) arrived :)

Only 40 passengers today, and 50 expected tomorrow, it doesn't sound like it will be much of a success.

Pas con Léon!

Trés bonne idée d'utiliser le Thalys.

Est-ce que certain train pour l'aéroport (Airport City Express) seront remplacé par des Thalys en provenance de Paris?

Captain.

I've just put the official press releases in the latest news.

Regretfully, SN BA did not bother to put an English version, so here is the French link: https://www.aviation24.be/article2386.html

and the Dutch link: https://www.aviation24.be/article2387.html

Bonjour, `

translation for people who doesn't understand french ;)

Thalys doesn't stop between Paris Nord and Zaventem. It is just to bring people from Paris to the africans fligths of SN Brussels Airlines.

Anyway, We don't know the load factor of the fligths from Paris, so, we can just say how many people max SNBA could take every day from CDG.
136 with an A319, +- 100 (RJ100), +- 85 (RJ85)

Not exactly. The airport Thalys stops at Brussels Midi and passengers can board there to Paris (not sure they can travel for the short trip between Brussels Midi and Brussels National).

Strangely enough, the new servide to BRU airport is not mentioned in the new (14 dec) Thalys timetable at www.thalys.com !!! This probably means that the BRU airport stop is only for SN travellers, not for regular passengers.

I understand why the airport Thalys stops at Bruxelles Midi.
It's a technical stop, the 2 first carriages of the Thalys move on to Zaventem (Bruxelles national) but nobody is allowed to get off or in during this stop at Bruxelles-Midi.
Is that correct???

Let's hope this number will quickly increase, because it's not much at all :?

BTW does someone know how the busses of SNBA are doing. Are those full?

Ciao

load factor of the thalys from Brussels To Paris

Post by sabena4ever »

Hello,

I was waiting my friend on tuesday at 5:30 am (just in front of the arrivals exit) who came back from Abidjan.
I saw just on the left, 2 guys with luggage trolley (from BGS).
I asked them about the load factor of the Thalys and they told me a load factor of 40 people on average, sometimes 20 people, to 60 people.

After three months, Thalys reports that the figures for the Brussels National Airport-Paris Gare du Nord route are slightly above the forecast (100,000 pax a year).

A nice achievement!

Hello
I 'm sorry but I have some questions!!!!
First, 100,000 pax a year, it's an average of 273,97 pax a day (return)
or 136,98 single
Do you have the exact figures??
I would like to know exactly the number of the pax, because, I have doubts about it
If you ask me why, just see what I wrote 2 months ago,
But maybe I'm wrong, ?

P.S. I'm an A330 member!!! let's say A340, because it's my favourite !!!
have a nice evening
