Post by PH-WSN »

Lets say money isn't a problem and you were given the chance to have your very own plane... what would it be?

I would love to have a Spitfire with a Merlin engine (The later model Merlin wich was also adopted for the P51-D) in the 1944 RAF invasion sceme (with the white stripes on the wing)... It would handle harder then the C172 i have some experience in i suppose.. but hey it's such a sexy looking plane.

Look at my nickname...
But I wouldn't mind a B747-400, off course fitted with an interior I choose.
Anybody here who can miss 150.000.000$? :)

I would take a zeppelin, something like the Hindenburg, but filled with Helium, not hydrogen. Also with a modern interior. Maybe equipped with a plane hangar with a nice double-decker.

Give me a B744 like Air Force One, I'm already happy with that...
Otherwise, a brand new A380...

I'd probably have a Boeing 757 or a Douglas DC-9 and I'd put this livery on it: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/105697/L/

For flying long distance I would have an ultra-luxurious 747-400, or a TriStar because I've always wanted to go on an L1011. For shorter distances (and so I can use London City  ) I would have a Fokker 50 because I love that nose dive approach and I am quite a fan of props.

Also, I would buy a Comet airliner that ungrateful UK museums are always threatening to scrap, berth it in a mobile home park and have it as a luxury holiday retreat.

For my european trips ofcourse a A318 and for my transatlantic flights the first couple of years a MD-11 and I would trade it in around 2008 for my own 7E7 ;)

It would be a Britten-Norman Islander... Sturdy, versatile, low maintenance cost and STOL.

And it looks pretty nice too

I would like to have an A380 or an A340-600 and for shorter distances an A319CJ would be great. Besides that I would like to have my personal pilots and I would paint the AC's gold with a silver Sabena S!

I would like to have a classic Concorde.
But a B747 or B777 is also fine.

I would choose a VC10 of course, and have it painted with SNBA or Sabena livery. Maybe also get a pilot's license and fly it myself. Thing is, though, I don't know where I'd keep it, as we live in a second floor flat!!!

I would by the An-225 from Antonov Design Bureau ... and if money isn't a problem, I would also buy their An-22

I would make my house inside the An-225, with about 3 floors ... and the garage would be in the rear of the fuselage ... one press on the remote control in my car and the rear-cargo doors (garage-gate) would open

I would have it standing newt to a runway ... like John Travolta ... and for the An-22 ... I would have the cockpit upgraded with the latest equipement and would use it to organize spottingtrips for Luchtzak-members :d:d:d

Just the imagination of a 19 years old mind ...
