Followed Airforce One to Paris on Friday to see the departure and it had proved not to be a bad choice at all. We even got quite a unique chance to see it from up close.
Here some impressions of the day, we did CDG-LBG-CDG-ORY-CDG so quite some driving around to catch everything in time.
Sweet looking A319 Bizjet at Le Bourget, but at a difficult stand to photograph

RAAF Boeing BBJ-1 just arrived and on taxi, too bad of the long grass ...

USAF Gulfstream departing from LBG

then we found ourselves lucky to see this one parked at an ideal stand and with great sun on it

I guess it doesn't get any better then this :very happy: ... except if there would be some 'action' in the shot ...

back at CDG ...

gosh what a great livery ...

Rossiya Tu214 (one of 3 present at the time) on the way to the runway over the closest taxiway.

and to break the chronological order, another one from CDG but when we returned there in the evening...
another (number 2 out of 3) Tu214 leaving.

when I saw it took the closest taxiway I had to rush to get my smaller 18-135mm lens, and it was sure needed ... never did a lense-change so quickly, shaking as hell on my ladder from the adrenaline rush

damn I would have never dared to dream this ... this shot is taken on only 18mm zoom (minimum)

couldn't zoom out more ...

helikopter with callsign 'DRAGON' keeping an eye on the spotters along RWY06 treshold as we awaited the VC-32A in which Obama would arrive in from Caen.

There he is, the VC-32 with Obama , using callsign 'Airforce One'

'Airforce One' for once being a VC-32, not so very common sight

Airforce One on the move to RWY06 treshold

rolling down the runway ...

unfortunatly rotation was quite late due to transatlantic trip ahead and we didn't had time to go further down the runway to find another spot so ... but happy enough with this shot

spotters at ORY being quite inventive to have their shots from Airforce One, waving Obama goodbye as it might take a while before we see him again crossing 'the pond'.

Best regards, Yannick
