Jetairfly in 2014

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
Is it correct to assume that this cooperation will mean less direct flights on Jetairfly long-haul flights (for BRU pax)?
Re: Jetairfly in 2014
I heard Jetair will not sell tickets to/from Orlando (just sharing capacity with TUI Netherlands) while the MIA-BRU sectors seem to remain non-stop:
AMS-BRU-MIA-BRU-AMS
AMS-SFB-MIA-BRU-MIA-SFB-AMS
But just to make it clear, these flights are operated by JAF (OO-JAP) or by Arke? The fact that the routings start/end in AMS seem to confuse a bit here.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
Jetairfly does sell tickets to Orlando (bookable via their website)...But no timetable available yet...so impossible to know if it's direct or via AMS...or vice versa...
Confusing indeed.
Confusing indeed.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
JAF is indeed going to operate these flights with their own 767, JAF confirmed this when I asked them in person Wednesday (but I had a bussy weekend, so bit of a late reply :p ). They also said that while they do offer flight tickets to Orlando, for the moment they do not offer hotels in Orlando (so no package holidays as with Miami/Fort Lauderdale). Maybe next summer?Sai wrote:The article in the post of 'Passenger' states that the routes are operated by JAF...CTBke wrote:routes are operated by Arkefly, JAF will use their own planes 787/767 for their other long haul destinations.
Re: Jetairfly in 2014
The airport of Beauvais-Tillé is closed for infrastructure works (including a new parking for aircraft) from 3 to 6 June 2014. The six airlines serving the airport (Ryanair, Air Moldova, Blue Air MGT, Jetairfly, Wizz Air and Eurolot) have suspended all their flights during this period.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
Jetairfly is the first airline worldwide to be awarded with the “Boeing Reliability Award” for the B787 Dreamliner. Jetairfly received the award for reaching the milestone of one hundred consecutive Dreamliner flights with a 100% technical performance. The 100% score on OO-JDL was reached in January 2014, and the ceremony took place a shortwhile ago. Gary Van de Ven (Field Service Boeing Commercial Airplanes) and David Longridge (Sales Director Boeing Commercial Airplanes) handed over the award, a scaled composite Dreamliner tail, to Geert Somers (Technical Director Jetairfly), Gunther Hofman (MD Jetairfly), Johan Bringmans (COO Tec4Jets) and Elie Bruyninckx (CEO Jetairfly and TUI Benelux).sn26567 wrote:Belgian airline Jetairfly receives as the first airline in the world the Boeing Reliability Award for its 787 Dreamliner.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
What does that mean actually?
I remember an AOG in the caribs with JDL... or isn't that what is meant with the 100% reliability?

Therefore, incidents or technicals before or after that particular period of 100 flights are ignored.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
In an interview to La Libre Belgique, Jetairfly CEO Elie Bruyninckx has vowed not to pay the fines of up to 3 million euros imposed by the Brussels region for excessive noise. He says the Jetairfly planes have followed the instructions of Belgocontrol. He has compared those fines to following the instructions of one police officer ordering him to turn left, only to find another police officer telling him that this is not allowed and giving him a fine.

Maybe he is a dikkenek - I dont know, as I haven't spoken him since he replaced Bart Brackx as CEO.airazurxtror wrote:Dikke nek !
But what he says is correct: crews only follow instructions and orders from Belgocontrol.

Re: Jetairfly in 2014
He - or rather Jetairfly - will have to pay whatever is ultimately decided by the judgement of the tribunal, if they are condamned. Saying that he won't pay is just from a stoeffer.
