Tell that to VLM since they say themselves they are low cost!
That you don't agree with them is your problem.
Oh, and yes it is damn expensive, and only for a sandwhich and a thee, again I realize there are still thieves in this business :D
Thanks there are LCC's in this world

You don't only get a sandwich and a tea with VLM. As well as a sandwich, I had a flaky pastry thing with chocolate chips in, some Belgian chocolate, a Fruitella, a fresh fruit salad and a 33cl can of Maes!! How many low cost carriers serve up things like that?
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Edwin, why should we close this topic? As long as people behave correctly and don't use hate words, there is no reason.

The discussion about whether or not VLM is a low-cost airline is certainly interesting and there is no conclusion yet.

For my part, codesharing with VEX on BRU-LCY should also be considered as an element of the discussion.

Wasn't VLM codesharing with SNBA on BRU-LCY before choosing VEX ? If so then we can definately say that VLM is getting closer to the lowcost market, even if their prizes aren't appropriate yet.

Chris

Because I don't like yes / no discussions when somebody has a ideal picture in his head from a company even when the company itself says what they are.

No. Sabena was alone on the route, first with Dash 8 and later with Avro equipment. After their bankruptcy, VLM took over, first alone, than in codeshare with VEX when VEX stopped codesharing with SNBA on LHR. Am I clear enough? ;-)

Andre - you have missed out the code share between VLM and SNBA on the LCY-BRU route. This was in operation back in September 2002 when I flew on that route, and it ended in March 2003 when VLM took up with VEX. I don't know when it started though.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Am I clear enough?
Clear enough, but not entirely correct ;), Louise allready made the correction ;).
I've looked up in SNBA's old timetable and found that there was indeed a flight to LCY in codeshare with VLM.

Ciao

VLM

Post by CTBke »

De vloot van VLM zal niet uitgebreid worden met embraer toestellen maar enkel met F-50 toestellen zoals reeds bekend is. Daarom heeft VLM 2 nieuwe toestellen aangekocht.
