Zurichse vliegramp luchtverkeersleider neergestoken

A grieving father
A grieving father is believed to have murdered an air traffic controller (Peter Nielsen)who was on duty when a plane crash killed dozens of children.
The killer is thought to be the parent of one of the children who died when a Russian airliner collided with a cargo plane, killing 71 people.
There is speculation that the killer was angered that compensation payments in an out-of-court settlement - reported to be £200,000 for each life lost - has been paid to the families of the 11 crew who died while a final settlement for the relatives of the 52 Russian schoolchildren has not yet been achieved.
Police have given special protection to other air traffic controllers and there has been a 40per cent reduction in the number of planes allowed into the air space as other controllers are treated for shock.

Probably both, Erwin.A318 wrote:People are really getting crazy when it is about money again.
Not because of the death of his kid but for the money he didn't received, then you are really nuts! Erwin
But incompetent people can be a danger. Two aircaft down is not nothing. And that Dane was still walking free?
Can such mishap be settled out of justice?
A truckdriver who causes an accident, does walk away free? They put him in jail, isn't it? Authorities are to blame, they dri(o)ve that man nuts!!
One more time: shame on the Swiss.
This republic with its 'Heidi" mentality!
Here is how they want to walk around and think. That tells it all!!
Aircraft accidents never only happen by one cause. If the russians did understand english they would have dived away to the correct side but they didn't. Ofcourse if was a awful mistake but this guy should have had a backup from a collegue. Where people work are made mistakes also and we should except that. Even after the mistake this person made he never deserved it to be killed by a relative from one of the passengers. This world is getting way out of hand and especially when people can understand and except this way of behaving!
