Luxair’s first Boeing Next-Generation 737-700, sporting the airline’s new livery and a pair of elegant blended winglets on its wingtips, began operations this month. Luxair, the national airline of the Grand Dutchy of Luxembourg, is using the new airplane on scheduled flights within Europe and on chartered holiday flights to sunshine destinations. The blended winglets reduce takeoff noise at airports, reduce fuel costs and increase the distance the 737-700 can fly. This is the first of three 737-700s the airline has ordered to replace its Boeing 737 Classic airplanes.
