BRU 18/09/13 FlyGeorgia plane @ Lufthansa Technik

Post by capetown »

Hi,
I think I've seen an A319 or A320 of FlyGeorgia parked @ Lufthansa Technik about an hour ago (while getting my sandwich at Delhaize ;)). Is Lufthansa Technik doing their maintenance?
Or is there something else going on (as a couple of weeks ago, someone posted something here about unpaid bills). Are they still operational on the BRU-TBS route?
Does anyone have more information ?

Regards,
Capetown

The aircraft is grounded due to unpaid bills. Perhaps the move to LH Technik is a sign that the aircraft will be able to depart BRU again soon.

Thanks... not a good start for this airline, I would say. It seems their fleet consists of only 2 narrow body Airbus, so the grounding of 50% of their fleet surely won't have had a positive effect on their ability to generate revenue.

Isn't this their second jet being impounded at BRU?

I remember their A320 was ferried to Woensdrecht.... Or did it come back?

It seems they have also got an A319 impounded at BRU... Not a good start indeed.

Their two planes are grounded now for return to the lessor. They are wet-leasing a plane from Slovakia to continue operations.
